St Marcus Summer Camps

July 2, 9, 16, 23 - Indoor Soccer/Futsal

DATES: Every Saturday in July

TIME: 9am - 11am

ELIGIBLE ATHLETES: Boys and Girls in 3rd-8th Grade

LOCATION: St Marcus Krier Gym

COACH: Coach Jordan Washington

COST: $25 for all sessions

DESCRIPTION: St Marcus soccer coach Jordan Washington will lead four two hour sessions of indoor soccer. These sessions will include skill instruction as well as team play. Futsal is a type of soccer that is played indoors on a much smaller court. The smaller field size ensures a game of Futsal is fast-paced and more intense, with more opportunity for goal scoring.

Aug 1 - 12 - Cross Training/Basketball

ELIGIBLE ATHLETES: Boys and Girls in 1st-12th grade

LOCATION: St Marcus Krier Gym

COACH: Seth Kock and Lance Meyer

COST: $25 for all sessions

DESCRIPTION: The first half of these sessions include speed and strength training from St Marcus Athletic Director and Track/Field coach Seth Kock. Included is instruction in running mechanics, sprinting, and performance preparedness followed by 10 exercise stations focusing on strength, plyometrics, and coordination in a high energy environment. The second half of these sessions will be a variety of basketball drills and games coached by Coach Lance Meyer.

August - Volleyball Camp 

DATES: during first week in August, days TBD

TIME: TBD, likely 9-11 or 9-12

ELIGIBLE ATHLETES: girls entering 5th-8th grade, especially those who plan to go out for volleyball in the Fall

LOCATION: Wehr or Krier, whatever is available; would also like to do some time at Estabrook sand volleyball court or Bradford Beach

DESCRIPTION: Camp will include volleyball drills and conditioning to work on endurance, footwork, court movement, passing, serving, and team play. Whether you're starting volleyball for the first time or building back your basics, we'd love to have you join us!

EQUIPMENT: Gym shoes, shorts/athletic leggings, t-shirt (no tank tops please). Knee pads and water bottle recommended.
